Final Fantasy XII - Gambits
With Final Fantasy XII's new battle system a Gambits system has also been introduced, unlike the previous Final Fantasy games in that you control the entire party, XII introduces a new style of gameplay when you control the party leader. The focus on controlling the party leader means that you won't have much time to command the other party members, which in theory would leave them idle.But thanks to Final Fantasy XII's Gambits they can attack automatically. Gambits work by filling up Slots with a technick or magick, initially you only have two Gambit slots, but more can be bought from the License Board. For example if you wanted your characters to heal your party leader you would set the Gambit as Ally: Party Leader.
New Gambits can be bought from a Gambit store, or as you progress through the game they can be found or unlocked.
